1964

founded by
teddy (edward) beaumont

Founded by Teddy (Edward) Beaumont and operated out of a ‘shed’ on the outskirts of Aylesbury.

1965

moved to a larger
workshop -1500sq/ft

Shortly after the first year of Beaubury, Teddy Beaumont moved the company into a larger workshop. Business was expanding.

1968

registered
with companies house

Registered with Companies House as Beaubury Precision Moulds Limited.

1976

leadership passed to
derek beaumont

Leadership passed to Derek Beaumont (son of Teddy – 2nd generation)

1980

moved to an even
larger workshop -3500sq/ft

Moved into brand new 3,500sq/ft premises in Bessemer Crescent, Aylesbury.

1982

the installtion of a
bridgeport interact
brings the cnc revolution

CNC revolution begins with installation of a Bridgeport Interact Series I machine c/w TNC 145 control.

1982

new cam/cam system
introduced - pathtrace

CAD/CAM system (PathTrace) introduced to exploit CNC milling machine capabilities.

1986

moved to a purpose built
7400sq/ft freehold factory

Moved to purpose built freehold 7,400 sq/ft factory in Kempson Close, Aylesbury.

1988

delcam's new system
launched - duct cad

Delcam’s DUCT CAD system introduced – Beaubury were the first blow moulder to adopt this new technology which then became an industry standard.

1993

Renishaw Surface
digitiser introduced

Renishaw Cyclone surface digitiser introduced for reverse engineering of cavity geometry.

1994

1st high speed
machining centre - matsuura

1st Hi-speed machining centre installed: Matsuura 18,000rpm.

1997

an industry first
accreditation - iso9001

Achieved ISO9001 accreditation – an industry 1st.

1998

moved into a bespoke
factory - 20000sq/ft

Purchased nearly 2 acres of land and built current 20,000sq/ft factory

2000

the first 5-axis
machine - dmu60p

1st 5 axis DMG DMU60P machining centre introduced.

2000

robot loading of cavity
blocks for 'light out'
machining - erowa pallet

Erowa palletising system installed to exploit the benefits of 5 axis machining and to allow robot loading of cavity blocks for ‘light-out’ machining.

2006

Derek Beaumont retired in
this year - new leadership

The company’s leadership was passed to Paul Matthews as Managing Director, Robin Beaumont (Son of Derek—3rd generation) as Technical Director, and Graham Spittlehouse as General Manager.

2008

laser welding installed to support repair programme

Laser welding system installed to support repair and refurbishment programme.

2009

new cnc machine
installed-bridgeport

September – New Hardinge/Bridgeport XR 1000 CNC machining centre 1020 x 610 x 610 capacity.

2012

Installed bridgeport
